If you compare Sonja van den Ende’s superlative 4th May SCF piece on Syria’s silent genocides to Lucy Williamson’s BBC garbage the following day, it becomes very obvious that van den Ende follows the first rule of writing, which is to write about what she knows about, and that Williamson does not.

Let’s first get Williamson and her MI6 friends on the seventh floor of Damascus’ Four Seasons hotel out of the way. Their job is to direct Jolani’s murder gangs and, in Williamson’s case, to make excuses for them by saying their war crimes are in retaliation for alleged attacks by the tens of thousands of Alawite women and children they have indiscriminately slaughtered. Having grown up in Ireland where MI6 used those self same excuses to justify their indiscriminate murder of Catholic children, I am long inured to those lies, which they have recycled in more recent times on the bigger canvasses of Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan.

Did I forget Palestine? Oh well, never mind. Here is renowned British writer and journalist Jonathan Cook hauling the very same Lucy Williamson over the coals regarding the BBC’s complicity in the Gazan turkey shoot. Let’s be blunt here. The BBC and journalistic harlots like Williamson have no credibility in any of this and, not only could I again cite Robert Stuart’s demolition of the BBC but I could cite hundreds of other less thorough demolition jobs if time and space allowed. The fact of the matter is MI6’s BBC have no credibility with regard to Syria, where they are implicated in far too many war crimes to adumbrate here.

If we now turn back to van den Ende (who may be followed, inter alia, here, here and especially here), it is patently obvious that she is not only heavily emotionally invested in Syria but that she has a range of well-informed contacts there as well. Not only has she written the article I had planned to write but she has done it far better than I could have and that is a very good thing, as it leaves me to put it all in a wider context.

Having first noted that everything people like van den Ende have said since the beginning of NATO’s war on Syria over a decade ago has been right and everything Syria’s NATO enemies have said has been wrong, let’s move on to the Assad canard as both van den Ende and I have been amongst a large swathe of worthies NATO have tried to dismiss as Assad stooges, Assad lackies and the like. Not only is that name calling in the absence of arguments or facts but it also shows a deep and fundamental ignorance of Syria, where the weakest (Assad and his small band of Alawites) were allowed rule so that the strongest factions would not tear themselves and Syria apart, as they are now doing. Witness Hama, where the Muslim Brotherhood savages were defeated in 1982 and where they are now marching demanding the extermination of the Druze, an ongoing war crime, which van den Ende’s article directly addressed.

But exterminate the Druze? Like, wtf? Not only are the Druze an integral part of the Syrian fabric but they played pivotal roles in ridding the country of the Ottoman and French colonialists. As of course, did Kurds like Ibrahim Hananu, whose current relevance is that the first thing, besides their mandatory head chopping, Turkey’s Jolani proxies did when they over ran Idlib was to tear down his statue, a crime that would be akin to French patriots tearing down a statue of De Gaulle or the type of Russophobic vandalism NATO’s Nazi proxies get up to in Ukraine and contiguous countries.

Even leaving aside the tens of thousands of Chinese Uyghurs who are running amok throughout Syria, the driving force behind these war crimes is economic, not in the Marxist class warfare sense, but in the divisive imperialist sense that much of the uneducated Sunni majority have been slowly groomed into seeing their equally impoverished compatriots as the enemy, rather than the external forces to their north and to their south, as well as agent provocateurs like Charles Lister, who gave succour to the Muslim Brotherhood and their triggermen.

Witness the lie of the land now and then ask yourself cui bono, who benefits? The first duty of the Alawites and the Druze, like minorities everywhere, is to simply survive, which is no easy task. But NATO has engineered it that they cannot survive without external help that necessarily excludes Iran and Lebanon’s Hezbollah, who must prepare for further tempests coming their way.

Step forward Israel, which now commands southern Syria and which is the only hope of salvation for the Druze, the Alawites and any other minority women who do not want to be sold off as sex slaves in Idlib.

Much as cats can flip about a mouse, so also is Israel free to kick about Syria, which is impaled on the claws of Jolani, Israel and Turkey, with the only friction being some aerial-related stand offs between the air forces of Russia, Israel and Turkey for local dominance. Although Russia has transferred military vehicles from their Hmeimim base to Latakia and they are recruiting thousands of coastal Syrians to fortify their bases, they cannot be the deciding factor in the battles that lie ahead, especially as the Americans, with their psychopathic Turkish sidekicks, are digging in around the Armenian town of Kessab.

But air forces, be they Russian or not, cannot occupy. You need ground troops to do that, and the Yanks have them in abundance both directly through Turkey and Israel, and indirectly through the jihadist head choppers who have the keys not only to the Presidential Palace but to much of Syria as well.

Although Padma de Pama has helpfully reposted this important map of who controls what in Syria today, matters are much worse than they were at the time of the Great Syrian Revolt, where Ibrahim Hananu, Sultan al-Atrash and countless other Syrians proved their mettle, just as the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army did for the last ten years.

Though Syrians should be eternally proud of their living and dead heroes, they need something else today if they and all around them are ever to escape the trap being set for them. These ongoing genocides are paving the way for Israel to set up its David Corridor, which will slice through Syria from the occupied Golan in Syria’s south to the lands the Kurds have stolen in the north and, having imposed their own final solution on Syria, the Israelis and heir Yankee sidekicks will move on to dealing with the “Turkish problem” further to the north.

Although addressing that is a problem for another day, for now we must join with van den Ende in lamenting this wholesale slaughter of Druze, Alawites and others just to make the wet dreams of Erdoğan, Netanyahu and their MI6 and CIA enforcers a reality. Although van den Ende is to be commended for being one of a tiny righteous minority, who have raised their voices, no matter how muffled NATO have made them, against these outrageous war crimes, the battle must go on till the next major page involving a war to the death with Iran is turned.

Although that is going to make gruesome reading, Sonja van den Ende and others like her are to be commended for throwing some light on these unforgivable and unforgettable Syrian war crimes, where the guilt must be firmly laid at the door of Lucy Williamson, the riff raff in the Four Seasons Hotel and all the other architects of the Syrian caliphate.
