A very interesting and extremely propagandist article about the U.S. electoral system and three major dates in its history that are all having their anniversary at the end of August 2026 just came across my desk. A good foreign friend of mine was intrigued by the premise that certain groups in America still really don’t have voting rights ‘after 100 years’. My short answer to them is that yes there is a large group of Americans that doesn’t have proper voting rights, and this group is 100% of the constituency due to all of the irregularities, cons, falsifications and terrible practices that get tolerated in terms of elections in the USA. But let’s take a deeper dive into what certain people ‘think’ is the problem in America vs. what it actually is. The article in question starts out like so

“This month marks 61 years since Lyndon Johnson signed the Voting Rights Act into law. Fifty-four years ago, Congress sent the Equal Rights Amendment to the states—now ratified by the three-quarters of the states the Constitution requires. On August 26, the 19th Amendment granting women’s universal suffrage turns 106. Three anniversaries, one question: Why, in 2026, are we still fighting for rights already won—the right to vote, equal pay, the Equal Rights Amendment Congress refuses to recognize as ratified?”

This article seems to have been written as a rejection of Donald Trump’s SAVE Act (Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act). The author criticizes it for not addressing some sort of the inherent bias or racism in the standing American electoral system that they see. But before we talk about this piece more directly I would like to make a few key points that are related to any discussion of voting in the USA:

1. The Two-Party System and its lobbyists love the system as is and will fight tooth and nail to use 18^th century legal justifications to keep it from changing in the 21^st century. No one who visits this site is so naïve as to believe that the dismally flawed setup in the U.S. is so broken and unchanging by pure accident, sloth or ‘racism’. If the system were to change the lobbying machine could fall apart and we can’t have that!
2. Just like the USSR had to cosplay as a block of independent nations so does the USA have to pretend on paper that it is still a union of independent states, and this is where many problems related to elections come from. Yes, there is an advantage to having local laws, but the illusion of local autonomy is quite different.
3. In contrast to the swamp of mainstream politicians reasonable people on both the right and left agree that the system is broken, unfair, and needs to change. However, they only want to make changes that will allow them to have an advantage. This animal instinct towards politics to seek out some better position via biased fairness reforms is human nature. The left naturally criticizes the SAVE Act as it erodes some of their advantages, see image below.

All of these points and especially point 3 above all hit home in the article we are discussing today titled “100 Years Later, We’re Still Fighting for the Right to Vote and Equal Pay”. Any reasonable American person after reading this headline would think “I’ve seen Black People vote, and I have seen women vote with my own eyes, this makes no sense”. And this reasonable Joe Average would be completely correct. The Voting Rights Act, the Equal Rights Amendment and the 19th Amendment have all come into being, but according to the author of the work that is not enough because somehow ethereal repression and unequal outcomes are afoot, thus the cause is systemic inequality. Cultural Marxists reasoning is as predictable as the sunrise, everything is repression for the sake of repression:

“At least six Black Democratic members of Congress face elimination through Republican redistricting this year, and one-third of the majority-minority districts under threat are held by women. The Congressional Black Caucus—grown from 13 members in 1971 to a historic high of 62 today—is being dismantled, district by district, ruling by ruling.”

Everyone in America should be disgusted by the fact that gerrymandering is a part of nearly every election cycle and is so normal and widespread that everyone knows what this ultra-specific electoral term means. The redrawing of districts in the article of the day portrays it as some sort of weapon against Blacks specifically, when it is a weapon against all Americans. Both sides use it to sculpt the demographics of certain regions to their liking. This effects everyone and is one of many things that needs to fade into history if we want elections to be truly ‘fair’.

“The suppression of Black votes and of women’s votes are not separate struggles—they are the same assault, mounted by the same forces, to concentrate power permanently in the hands of those who hold it. Every woman in America who has changed her name is in the crosshairs. The attack on the Voting Rights Act, on women’s economic security, and the fight for the Equal Rights Amendment are one battle.”

The article as a whole tends to have that classic liberal vibe to it, that Voter ID somehow is oppressive to Black Americans because… well they never state why… but usually liberals who believe in this view link it to a lack of education or something of the sort. They hint at, but generally don’t overtly say, that they believe Blacks are simply too stupid or inept to get ID, which is a pillar of liberal ivory tower racism. There are millions of Black individuals across America, who have mortgages, jobs, driver’s licenses and engage in all sorts of things that require paperwork. This argument that ID is bad because Blacks can’t deal with it, implies that our countrymen just hopped off the plantation ignorant and in rags, which is an absolutely disgusting perspective. I went to school for with a Black gent who successfully signed on to work for NASA, I am pretty sure he can spell his own name.

The key argument on how Trump’s SAVE Act will effect women is that due to changing names after marriages/divorces there might be some problems for women to vote in connection to ID. But for some reason the piece takes more time talking about how women earn less than men, than actually saying how women will be excluded from voting, guilt trip? There could be some truth to this, but getting your driver’s license to match your current name is fairly easy to do as are changing other documents in the USA. American bureaucracy comes from the ‘high-trust society’ days and tends to be winnable battle for the applicant especially with minor documents.

But let’s take this one step further in terms of Voter ID. Probably the reason that the United States doesn’t have a mandatory national ID in place is because of the said necessity to create the illusion of 50 States, meaning that I am a citizen of Ohio technically, and Ohio is a member of the USA. But, it also has to do with privacy and the Cold War since the evil Soviets issued internal passports we could never do that too! Instead we just made driving nearly mandatory across the USA and used driver’s licenses as our communist internal passport equivalent. I always found it funny in high school that kids would go get a State ID that was just a driver’s license that didn’t allow them to drive. We already basically have a national ID, let’s just get serious about it finally rather than using electric bills to prove you live at a particular address like peasants.

The natural reaction from most patriotic Americans to a National ID is most often to cringe. Something about that idea seems like a violation of privacy, or again something very ‘commie’, but the way things are done in the USA right now with no such ID, and having to provide ‘3 forms of identification’ that are easy to fake for the bad guys, and often hard to prove for the good guys is a garbage system and we all know it. You have a Social Security Number from birth, you can’t buy a house with a bad Credit Rating, Snowden revealed there is nearly total government surveillance on you, and now we know Big Tech is involved with their lovely Flock Towers and total knowledge of all your data. Compared to that, a National ID is a drop in the bucket for privacy which you actually have none of no matter where you live. Interestingly, now many Americans outside of the USA are supposedly being asked to prove they ‘lived on the territory of the USA for at least 5 years’, when requesting a new passport or other documents as we lack a true national ID. I sure hope you saved your elementary school transcripts or you’re going to be enjoying the beaches of Thailand forever!

Again, be it Snowden, Alex Jones or Tucker Carlson speaking, all the evils of big government and Silicon Valley spying have been exposed. A national ID pales in comparison to any invasions of privacy being committed against the Joe Average by Big Tech with three letter organizational support. A National ID in the internet era could allow any derpy election station worker to scan it and see a whole list of previously used legal names solving this problem of voter suppression due to marriage/divorce. Furthermore, if there as such an ID in the digital age it, like the SSN you already have for each individual, it would be automatically issued and Black Americans too. That is to say, it would answer all of the horrible accusations of inequality and repressions mentioned in the article.

But overall, the liberals that wrote those words are against the SAVE Act because it could, in theory, start to exclude the dead from voting and the living from voting 10 times. It may just make it harder for a random Somalian to get a temp job poking the “D” option in Minnesota. This is a good start but there is a real demon cursing election results called ‘voting machine’ usage that seems like an obvious con. There have been all sorts of baffling scandals and contradictions in the world of these voting machines and on this end chaos will continue for the foreseeable future on election day. Speaking of which, why do we only have only one election day in America? Why not have an election week? We are the richest country on Earth after all, can’t we afford it?

The issue of how to Make Voting Great Again in America is a massive topic, and the SAVE Act surely won’t hurt. The people who object to it do so mostly because they see the Republicans as benefitting from the changes. All this talk of systemic repression is really just to mask the fact that ID works against left wing voter trickery.
