Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy has just been sentenced to five years in prison for “criminal conspiracy” in connection with his murky dealings with Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi.
There was something refreshing about watching former French president Nicholas Sarkozy being interrogated in a French jail. Particularly since he may soon be accused of conspiracy in the murder of my old friend, Col. Muammar Khadaffi of Libya.
If he thinks 48 hours of police questioning in Paris last week over corruption is “hell”, Sarkozy should spare a thought for the thousands of innocent lives he obliterated over his money-grubbing schemes.
