There scarcely is any need to point out the degree to which judicial practice in what is commonly known as the dark ages coincides with the contemporary modus operandi of the Hague Tribunal.
How do you have a court which uses international law as a bedrock for its very existence when many of the most powerful countries in the world – namely Russia and China – are not members?
Duterte has a network of allies, some nice, some not so nice who feel he has been hard done by and who are powerful enough not to let the matter rest.
For the Hague Tribunal, leaving the now useless conscience-stricken general to rot and die in its Polish dungeon is the optimal solution.
