After the decision of the UK government to supply Storm Shadow cruise missiles to Ukraine, it surely must be well overdue to question whether the government’s policies on Ukraine and Russia are serving our best national interests.

These missiles cost £2.2 million each and the government has not been prepared to say how many have been sent.

However, bearing in mind that previous provision of military weaponry to Ukraine has reduced the defence capabilities of the UK, it can reasonably be assumed that the same negligent thinking has applied to the number of these missiles sent to Ukraine. The UK has between 700 and 1000 of them. If just 500 of them have been sent to Ukraine, then that works out at a cost of £1.1bn!

This is on top of the billions already spent on Ukraine. Of course, if they have sent more, then the costs will be even more excessive.

The question needs to be asked- just where is the justification for this?

Who has carried out a cost benefit analysis? Who has carried out a risk assessment in respect of the dangers to the UK population of possible Russian retaliatory action?

The government seems to have decided that the risks are worth taking, but there is no public debate, no scrutiny allowed of this tightrope they are walking with the safety and security of the British nation. There are not only the worries about conventional escalation, but serious ones about nuclear too. The government seem to have forgotten that they disbanded our proper Civil Defence structure some years ago.

These are all reasons why the new petition on government Ukraine and Russia policy so urgently needs to be signed.

There are many other reasons too:

THERE IS NO UK STRATEGIC, ECONOMIC OR POLITICAL INTEREST SERVED IN TAKING ONE SIDE IN THE UKRAINE CONFLICT

The government have exercised mission creep with this conflict from day one of the start of Russia’s “special military operation on February 24th 2022.” and even well before then, but at no time has there been a proper Parliamentary debate about what the UK have become involved in.

The official Opposition parties have sadly let the public down and have not questioned any of this drift towards direct war involvement.

It seems that the lessons of previous conflicts have not been learned, Iraq is an example of where the public and Parliament were fed lies about “weapons of mass destruction” which did not exist.

Now we are fed lies about the Ukraine war and the media are complicit on this.

We have had a three-year covid-19 period where the government, again assisted by the media, were not telling us the truth.

With all this background of government and media dishonesty, it is surprising that more people don’t question what they are told more. They need to for their own safety and security.

There are many conflicts going on in the world, which the UK government has not become involved with, so why single out Ukraine?

There is no strategic or economic interest in the UK taking one side in this conflict, yet the government have decided against neutrality, a position taken by most world countries.

It is only the EU and NATO countries ( and even they have divided opinions) and a small number of other countries who are involved with some form of sanctions.

The UK left Afghanistan to focus on Ukraine for inexplicable reasons.

Afghanistan involvement was costing the UK a billion a year with no effects on our economy.

The Ukraine involvement has seen direct costs so far of about £15bn ( in just over a year).

These include the costs of 203,000 Ukraine refugees in the UK ( about £2bn), the cost of aid and related assistance to Ukraine, and the military aid, about £10 bn, all of which continues to increase. These billions are sorely needed in the UK.

The indirect costs have been catastrophic:

A key reason that everything has been going up from taxes to cost of living is the government’s Ukraine and Russia policies.

Covid-19 and Net Zero costs have been major contributors, but since then it has been the government’s self-defeating sanctions and other policies.

Interest rates have risen since before the government’s policies on Ukraine of 0.5% to 4.5% now.

There have been massive energy price rises which have only been partly alleviated by government energy price support ( costing the taxpayer approximately £170 bn so far in funding themselves!).

There is virtually nothing which is not affected price wise and therefore the consequences have been so immense that consent for this should be requested via a UK wide referendum.

It is simply not acceptable to embark on such policies without any mandate from the British public

It is widely admitted that Ukraine would have agreed peace with Russia if the flow of weaponry ceased from countries such as the USA and the UK.

For the first time in its history the EU have paid for lethal arms in a conflict ( 3.1 bn Euros so far), despite the fact that EU citizens are suffering economically.

The more arming of Ukraine, the longer the conflict will take to conclude and the larger the losses ( of mainly young men) on both sides will be.

It is simply not possible for Ukraine to have any chance of winning. Their economy has been wrecked, over 10 million people have left the country, with about the same number of internally displaced persons. Nearly three million refugees are in Russia, 1.6 million in Poland, 1.1 million in Germany and the rest in other countries.  The reconstruction costs are already about $750bn. Who is going to pay for that when Ukraine is so heavily in debt?

The country of Ukraine is fundamentally funded by other countries. To whose benefit? Already the Ukraine government have signed a deal with Blackrock the massive hedge fund and they will not want Ukraine to lose. The people of Ukraine voted for President Zelensky because he promised a platform of peace in 2014, which he has massively betrayed.

His regime, which is very influenced by those of Nazi ideology, has already shut down opposition parties and media and even the Russian Orthodox Church.

So when UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak says they are fighting for our values, just what are they?

It seems that certain countries want to use the young Ukrainians as cannon fodder to try and weaken Russia, and they just don’t care about the welfare of ordinary Ukrainians who are forced to fight because of national conscription.

The UK government’s involvement in Ukraine has had other consequences. It has brought about the weakening of British influence in the world and has moved Christian democratic Russia closer to communist non -Christian China. It was only a few years ago that there were a series of Royal visits to Russia and President Putin was invited to Buckingham Palace.

The path to peace and stability was progressing fairly well and now the opposite is the case, with Russia having a profound distrust of the UK government.

The UK government seems to have embarked on a policy of hatred towards Russia and its people. Where has this come from? British people are usually tolerant and friendly with those of all nations.

Cheap energy supplies from Russia were helping the EU and UK more easily adapt to more environmentally friendly energy policies. Now those targets will become more unachievable and at much bigger costs. Both parts of Ukraine, controlled by Russia and by the Zelensky government, have suffered $51billion in environmental damage, something the Greens in certain EU countries should have thought about before endorsing the sending of so many arms to the Ukraine.

Ironically, the longer this conflict goes on, the more chance there is of Ukraine no longer existing as a country.

There is no chance of the five areas which voted to become part of Russia changing their minds.

Now that Ukraine have longer range weapons, it means that Russia will need to occupy more of the country to protect their own security.

It is so sad that back in April 2022, Boris Johnson went to Ukraine offering money and weapons ( with no authority from anyone) and the peace deal which could have been signed then with Russia was scuppered. They would have achieved a far better deal then than now.

The government has used Ukraine as a convenient distraction from their own woes.

They have also at the same time subjected the British public to many other threats to their freedoms, including 15 minute cities and so on.

These threats have taken up resources in the freedom movement, delaying action to end the government’s disastrous Ukraine policies.

Finally in April, the new NotOurWar campaign was set up which culminated in a Rally in Whitehall on Saturday 22nd April with an excellent range of speakers.

This was significant in that they represented different points of view, so there was one who was the Chairman of a Stop the War region and one who was in No2Nato and the Workers Revolutionary party. It was a reminder of what happened in the Referendum campaigns when people of different political persuasions united for a common cause.

That cause was UK national interest and peace and security for all, including both Russians and Ukrainians.

There is now an argument that NATO has gone against its own principles and is now acting against the best welfare and security interests of its member country.

It seems that it has been taken over by globalist vested interests who are using the military organisation for their own purposes.

This would help explain the “deal” with the Taliban and the betrayal of 26 million Afghans, their electoral and democratic rights, basic human rights and rights for women, and the letting down of the thousands of British, and other veterans, especially Afghans, who sacriced their lives in vain. NATO refused to help the anti- Taliban resistance, yet have been happy to pour billions into Ukraine.

We now strive to overcome the extensive shadow banning and no platforming of the petition.

The government is doing everything it can to stop this petition and the issue itself being debated.

They know that if it is, they have no arguments to win it, and they have lost.

Interview on Richard Vobes programme:

Please everyone, if free media and free debate are important to you, then support the petition and demand there is free and open debate! Included in that debate is the need to discuss why globalist interests are trying to bring about a Great Reset of society and why we need to re-establish our inalienable sovereign rights as free men and women.
