Trump’s proposal, which falls outside of international legitimacy and accepted principles for Israeli-Palestinian peace, is acceptable to only one party in the world – the Government of Israel under Netanyahu.

The need for Russia to be active is most definitely there, particularly after Trump violated ongoing international norms of no unilateral actions on the issue of the future of Jerusalem.
